distance will
distill
you, from your parents, old
friends, things you were
supposed to do,
thousands of miles can
change you.
do not presume what you find
is the only " you" you can be. or that this new product
is "you" at all, don't think
you're not trying on new faces, this far
from home. it's so much easier
to hide behind your masks
when no one can distinguish them
from reality.
